Yacht marketing: Live events, boat shows, private showcases

Yacht marketing includes many elements: brochures, websites, video, photography, and advertising. Lately, live events are seen as more important than ever to reach potential yacht buyers.

Luxury yachts are big-ticket items that are completely discretionary. Getting buyers interested in a particular vessel is a difficult task. There’s been an emphasis over the past 12 months of getting boats and customers in the same place at the same time.

Boating is an experience and a live event makes the experience real
We’ve attended a lot of boat shows over the past 12 months and so have our clients. As the 2010-2011 boat show season wraps up, the live events have been a useful way to reach potential clients and existing customers.

A newcomer to the live event line-up
At the end of 2010, Yachting magazine hosted their first Private Yacht Showcase in Palm Beach. The invitation-only event brought Yachting advertisers together with qualified guests interested in yacht ownership.
